Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) deployments in the Morlais Demonstration Zone (MDZ)
Nova Innovation, one of the Morlais technology developers, successfully deployed 2 ADCPs in the MDZ over the weekend of 18th December 2021. They are located at the following coordinates:
- 53⁰ 18.015 N 004⁰ 42.639 W
- 53⁰ 17.886 N 004⁰ 42.420 W
The ACDPs will remain in situ on the seabed until they are retrieved, most likely in the first good weather/tidal window from the beginning of February 2022 onwards. Notifications will be issued in advance of any retrieval operations.
