Skills and Training Working Group
Morlais have established a skills and training working group in order to identify and provide solutions for any skills gap presented by the work opportunities from the Morlais Project.
11/05/2021 The group met for the first time and the Morlais Project was introduced. Members of the group shared their experience and capabilities and an agenda for future meetings was agreed.
24/06/2021 A productive meeting was held where many ideas were shared on potential skills gaps and how to ensure that the marine energy sector becomes a viable career route, so that any skills gaps are filled.
05/08/2021 Another productive working group. Members of the group shared valuable ideas regarding different routes and support to careers and discussed current courses on offer that could be relevant for the Marine Energy sector.
19/05/2022 A productive meeting was held online where members of the group shared different ideas on how to collaborate in order to identify any skills gaps within the renewable energy industry.
22/09/2022 Another productive online working group meeting was held. Members of the group shared valuable ideas and discussed current courses on offer that could be relevant for the Marine Energy sector.
07/12/2022 A productive meeting was held where many ideas were shared on potential skills gaps and how to ensure that the marine energy sector becomes a viable career route, so that any skills gaps are filled.
07/03/2023 A skills and training working group was held online where key discussion points included the development and importance of skills linked to Welsh learning and the opportunities on the Anglesey to develop and strengthen the economy and language.
