Menter Môn Morlais Ltd Commits to School Valued Partner Scheme with Ysgol Caergybi.

Menter Môn Morlais Ltd (MMML) is excited to announce its latest partnership with Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi as part of the Careers Wales School Valued Partner scheme. This collaboration aims to inspire students and support them in exploring a wide range of career opportunities through direct engagement with real-world projects.

As a first step in the partnership, Fiona Parry the skills and training project officer introduced the school staff to the Morlais project, followed by two focused meetings with the school’s Design & Technology and Science departments. The initiative will officially kick off with an engaging project for Year 9 students led by the Design & Technology department. This includes a special visit to our substation before Christmas, where students will gain firsthand insight into the energy sector. Following the visit, the students will work on a school project based on the Morlais project, giving them a unique, hands-on experience in renewable energy and engineering.

We’d also like to thank the staff of Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi for their enthusiasm and dedication to expanding opportunities for their students.”

In January, Menter Môn Morlais will also participate in the school’s careers festival, the next phase in our journey to open doors for young people in Holyhead and encourage new interests in sectors like renewable energy and technology.
