Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK is a leading civil engineering contractor with extensive experience across multiple sectors. The company was appointed to deliver key infrastructure works for the Morlais, Menter Môn’s tidal energy scheme.

The company secured a £24 million contract to construct the landfall substation and install the underground cable linking the substation to Parc Cybi. The work began during spring 2022 and has since been successfully completed, marking a significant milestone in the development of this innovative renewable energy project.

Building on this success, Jones Bros was awarded an additional £10 million contract to deliver infrastructure works at Parc Cybi, Holyhead. This phase will support the expansion of the site’s grid capacity from 18MW, with the potential to scale up to 240MW in the future. Menter Môn Morlais Ltd have developed a strong and collaborative working relationship with Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK throughout the project.
